Brochure and leaflet copywriting that works with the design
Brochures and leaflets have always been one of the best ways to show what you offer, and they still are. I write clear, engaging copy that works with the images and the design, so the finished piece is something people keep rather than recycle.
Why it matters
A printed brochure has advantages no website can match. It sits on a desk, gets passed round a table and comes out again when the decision is being made. A leaflet on the doormat reaches people who would never have searched for you.
But print is unforgiving. Space is limited, every word costs money to reproduce, and there’s no second page load to fix a weak headline. The copy has to be clear, concise and written for how people actually read printed material: headline first, pictures next, words last.
I write copy that fits the layout and lets the photography breathe. If you need a designer, photographer or printer as well, I work with trusted specialists and can bring the whole project together for you, with one point of contact.
A taste.
What it could sound like
The front panel of an imaginary leaflet for a mobile dog groomer:
Front panel
The groomer comes to you. No car journeys, no waiting rooms, no anxious dog. Just a fully equipped van on your driveway, an hour of pampering, and a much happier, much cleaner best friend.

Your sector, your competitors and what your readers are looking for.

I write
A first draft in your voice, put through Blatchley’s Law before you see it.

Your comments go in until you’re happy to put your name to every word.
Questions about brochures and leaflets
Anything else, just ask.
Can you arrange the design and printing too?
Yes. I work with hand-picked designers, photographers and printers, and can bring them together for your project with one quote and one invoice.
I already have a designer. Will you work with them?
Happily. Writing to your designer’s layout from the start usually gives the best result.
Is print still worth it?
For the right audience, very much so. A well-written brochure or leaflet often lasts far longer and gets passed on more than any online post.
Let’s start.
Tell me what you have in mind
A rough idea is plenty. Tell me about your business and what you’d like this writing to do, and I’ll come back with honest thoughts and a quote.
